Nick Bayer – CEO of Saxbys got involved with a homeless youth shelter. Mr Bayer met Dante Wilson at an interview arranged by Coleen Landy of the Covenant House, a Philadelphia shelter for homeless youths.
Dante Wilson, a young man started living at the Covenant House during his senior year in high school. Mr Baker expected a sad individual however the smiling young man quickly changed that idea. The two hit it off so well Dante was hired on the spot.
With no experience, Dante started at the bottom, cleaning and busing. Withing two weeks, the Franchise owner decided to that Dante would start Barista training Hard work and dedication on his side, Dante worked his way up.
Fast toward 5 years, Dante is now a major part of what has become Saxbys mentoring program. The company continues to hire these at risk youths. Empowering them so that they can build a better future.
“Kids surrounded by bad circumstances see no hope”. As a business man, Nick took on the responsibility to help these at risk youths. His program gives them a better foundation which in turn helps them to build a better future.
Kudos to Nick Bayer for taking the initiative, kudos to Dante for showing because your down does not mean that you are out!.
