Dear Madame Joy,

It seems my wife is always mad at me for something I say. She thinks I have no consideration for her feelings.  Every time we have to go out she asks my opinion on how she’s dressed. If I think it makes her look fat, I tell her. When I tell her that it makes her look fat, she gets upset and we end up in an argument with results in us not going anywhere.

Madame Joy, how do I get my wife to understand that I am just looking out for her best interest? I don’t want her to go out there and feel uncomfortable.
If she doesn’t want my opinion, why does she keep asking me?

To put it nicely, “You Sir are an idiot”. What you mean I didn’t put it nicely? Just repeat it with a British accent and you will see the difference. You musta grow into your chupidity because I doh tink yuh was born so.  I doh underdand why in this day and age with so much information out there and men sharing dey feeling and all dat, why you so clueless. Why, why, why allyuh does still fall fuh dat?

If ah woman ask you if she looking fat, is because she think she looking fat. She asking you because she want you tuh tell she dat yuh doh tink she fat. Lord why allyuh so clueless.

All yuh know dem woman and dem slick. Yuh know dey go try and back yuh into a corner.
Boy the woman not really asking you fuh your opinion, she asking you tuh tell she what she want to hear. It is very rear that ah woman actually value yuh opinion, cause she done have she own.

Allyuh know I doh like tuh gossip eh but am… I have this friend right an he married to dis woman right an he and he wife going through the same kinda hing. The ting is that dis man just too blunt and when she ask he opinion he doh give it. Why because he is a smart man and he knows no good will come of it.He learn from he previous mistakes but you doh seem capable ah dat. So what he does is he does compliment the woman before she even ask! Bam! Problem solved. When she have a come back, an yuh know dem woman does always have a comeback, he does simply say “You always look beautiful to me baby”. Done! Problem Solved!

Follow these simple steps and you too will attain happiness and clarity.

p.s. If yuh tell she she doh look fat and she go out dey in the outfit and somebody tell she dat she put on weight. Your ass is grass eh man.  So basically yuh damn if you tell she she look fat and yuh damn if yuh doh tell she she look fat. So just stick with the “You look beautiful to me!” Jus Sayin!
